Aespa signs with Beyonce’s U.S. agency CAA
SM Entertainment’s new female idol group Aespa has signed an agency contract with the largest U.S. agency, Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
SM Entertainment reported the news on the 23rd, saying, “Based on CAA’s global network, we will be more active in the global music market, including the United States.” CAA Music also said on its official Instagram that Aespa has joined as a new client.
CAA, along with the United Talent Agency (UTA), William Morris Endeavor (WME), and ICM Partners, is one of the four major agencies in the United States, the largest entertainment and sports agency in the United States.
Avril Lavigne, Beyonce, Cardibee, Ceramic Cat, Eric Clapton, Green Day, Harry Styles, Jason Mraz, Justin Bieber, Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Nora Jones, Radiohead, Sam Smith and Westlife.
SuperM, a joint venture with NCT 127 such as Aespa, also signed an agency contract with the CAA in November 2019.
Aespa, which debuted in November last year, is a female idol group that claims a total of “eight members” including Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning and their avatar “I-Aespa.” He has released “Black Mamba” and “Next Level,” which are based on his debut song, “Meet Avatar, Another Self, and Experience a New World.”
Aespa is loved as a remake of the same name OST of the movie “Fast and Furious: Hobbes & Show” in Aespa’s color, and as a “next level” of a hip-hop dance genre featuring groovy rap and energetic base leaves.
The song continued to gain word of mouth and topped Melon 24 Hits on the 21st of last month, and it is still at the top of various music sites. The music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube within 32 days of its release.
