Apple Raises Subscription Fees for TV Plus and Music Services
Apple will raise monthly subscription fees for Apple TV Plus (+) and Apple Music in the U.S. by about $1 to $1.
According to CNN on the 24th, Apple announced that it would raise its monthly subscription fee for Apple Music from $9.99 to $10.99.
The family plan, which supports up to five people, rises from $14.99 to $16.99.
Apple TV+ subscriptions increase from $4.99 to $6.99.
Apple explained in a statement that the increase in Apple Music subscription fees was “due to increased licensing costs, and eventually artists and composers will earn more money.”
As for Apple TV+, he said, “We started with a few shows and movies, so we introduced it at a very low price.”
CNN reported that Apple is taking a strategy to increase sales of service businesses such as Apple Music and Apple TV+ to increase profitability at a time when iPhone sales growth has slowed recently.
