Christian Eriksen will compete in the 2022 Qatar World Cup
Christian Eriksen (30, Manchester United), a “sample of human victory” who overcame a heart attack, was included in the final list of the Danish national soccer team. He will play in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The Danish Football Association announced on the 8th (Korea Standard Time) the list of 21 players participating in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Eriksen was included in the list.
Earlier, Eriksen collapsed from a heart attack during the European Football Championship (Euro 2020) match in June last year and underwent surgery to insert a defibrillator.
Eriksen then showed the same resilience as Choin and succeeded in returning to the ground. Eriksen moved to Manchester United last July via Brentford.
Eriksen also returned to the Danish national soccer team nine months after he collapsed from a heart attack in March. It’s literally a human victory itself.
Now Eriksen will lead the Danish national soccer team to the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Denmark is in Group D with France, Australia and Tunisia.
Meanwhile, Danish coach Casper Hulmant selected 21 of the total 26 entries first. The rest of the members are expected to announce before the final entry period, the 13th.
