Jung Dong-won will host his second solo concert, “Academic Society.”
Singer Jung Dong-won’s solo concert “The Society of Music” in Seoul was held.
The agency Showplay Entertainment said on the 16th, “Jung Dong-won finished the ‘2nd Society of Music – Seoul’ performance held at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on the 14th and 15th.”
The concert is a solo concert at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, which will be held for the second consecutive time following the first performance in January 2021, attracting about 6,000 audiences for two days.
On the same day, Jung Dong-won opened the concert with two saxophone performances, “Loving You” and “Front Night Song.” “I’ve been on the stage at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts this year as well as last year,” he said. “The national tour starts today, and I’m looking forward to meeting various fans in person with a different stage.”
Next, Jung Dong-won, who led fans’ response with “Mulmangcho,” “Woosu,” “Sangsanghwa,” “Wild Flower,” “Youth,” “Yeobaek,” and “Love is the seed of tears,” drew attention by singing “As You Live” from the musical “Seopyeonje” like a scene in a musical.
Jung Dong-won said, “I sing the first song I sang in ‘Call Center of Love’ when I was 17 years old, and you may feel a little differently,” and sang enthusiastically along with the introduction of the musical Mozart’s ‘Golden Star.’ He then sang “I Fly Music” one after another.
Subsequently, the stage costumes in the form of a robe were changed, and the stages of “Batnori” and “Real Man” were performed with colorful dances and deft expressions, reversing the atmosphere with lively energy.
“This ‘In-house’ album activity was so much fun for me and I think you liked it,” he said. “I think it will be a very memorable activity because I can show ‘Real Man’ through music shows following ‘Baenori’.”
Photo time for the audience was also held. Jung Dong-won had a good time with fans by taking pictures in various poses with two concepts.
He performed three songs, “I’m 17 years old,” “If you’re handsome, you’re my brother,” and “My brother next door,” and sang “For Love” and “In the Far Future.” “I think the stage I’m going to show you this time is the stage that can best express the music society,” he said, adding, “Becoming a Thousand Winds” and “Hope Song.”
Jung Dong-won, who heated up the atmosphere at the end of the performance with Psy’s “Comment,” “The Best in My Heart,” and “I’m Peter Pan,” said, “It’s already been a successful 2023 with the last concert of last year. I’ll thank the fans for their excitement and longing.”
