Ryu Hyun-jin ranks first in ML control after 2019.
Ryu Hyun-jin of the Toronto Blue Jays has been recognized as the best control pitcher in the league for the second consecutive time.
Baseball America announced on the 27th (hereinafter referred to as Korea time) that Ryu Hyun-jin topped the American League Best Control category in the “Major League Best Tool Boat,” which votes on coaches, scouts and club officials from the two major leagues every season.
Ryu Hyun-jin also topped the National League Best Control category when he was a Los Angeles Dodgers player in 2019. Baseball America did not proceed with the vote last season as regular league games were reduced to 60 games.
Jack Greinke of the Houston Astros and Nathan Iovaldi of the Boston Red Sox were ranked third in the best control category.
In addition, the St. Louis Cardinals’ Nolan Arenado was selected as the best third baseman for the seventh consecutive time, while the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Tray Turner was selected as the National League’s best bass runner for the third consecutive time. There are only three players, including Turner, who won the vote three times in a row, and nine players, including Ryu Hyun-jin, were selected two times in a row.
Shohei Otani of the Los Angeles Angels, who is playing his best in Tutta this season, won the top three votes in the American League, including best power, fastest bass runner and most interesting player.
The best batters were Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays and Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals, respectively, and the best pitchers were Lance Lynn of the Chicago White Sox and Jacob Digrom of the New York Mets, respectively, ranked first.
In the case of Guerrero Jr., he was the best prospect in the 2019 vote, but was recognized as the best hitter in two years. His father, Guerrero Senior, was also voted best hitter in 2005. Prior to Guerrero Jr., Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels took the top spot for the fourth consecutive time, but was pushed back by injury this season.
The vote began in 1988 when Baseball America asked the manager of each club to pick three of the best players in the league, including offense, defense, and pitching, and since then, the same vote has been held on coaches and analysts of the club including scouts.안전놀이터
However, Ryu was sluggish on the day. In a home game against the Chicago White Sox at the Rogers Center in Toronto, Canada, he became a losing pitcher with seven hits, three home runs, one walk, four strikeouts and seven runs. Although he had only one walk, he suffered humiliation in the fourth inning.
